Adapt and Overcome!

At Building A Purpose (BAP), our mission has always been rooted in supporting students and families. When the COVID-19 pandemic began to unfold in March, we like schools and organizations across the nation, faced the sudden reality of closures, cancellations, and uncertainty.

Our top priority was clear: the safety of our students, mentors, and community. As schools closed their doors and the world shifted to social distancing, BAP quickly began exploring new ways to continue serving our youth. In-person gatherings, mentorship sessions, and workshops were paused, but the heart of our purpose remained strong.

We began laying the groundwork for virtual programming, understanding that while the format might change, the connection and support our students needed was more important than ever.

Looking ahead, we remain excited to bring back our programs in their full form when it is safe to do so. Until then, we are grateful to everyone who has leaned in with us during this season of change. Together, we will keep pushing forward, knowing that storms eventually pass and when they do, our community will emerge stronger, more connected, and more determined than ever.
