At Building A Purpose, we believe that strength and compassion often emerge from the youngest voices and that’s exactly what happened when a senior at South San Antonio High School launched a project to uplift peers during isolation. With the weight of COVID-19 restrictions placing many students in quiet homes, this young leader, partnering with a classmate, decided to bring light into solitude. They delivered small plants and heartfelt notes to younger students, reminding them, “Wherever life plants you, bloom with grace.” San Antonio Express-News
This act of kindness underscores a core value of BAP: students aren’t just recipients of mentorship; they are changemakers in their own right. Through programs like CPCP, GSCP, and our broader volunteer network, we nurture that spark. We guide students in transforming care into action, in finding purpose amidst challenge, and in believing that their stories matter.
We believe in you!
We know that when you step forward, the community follows. Let’s keep growing, giving, and building something greater, together.
