Reporter Patty Santos and photojournalist Alex Gamez sat down with Building A Purpose for a exclusive interview featuring our Co-Founder & President, Jesus Rendon and Building A Purpose’s First founding president and board member, Mr. Juan Elias.
Mr. Elias and Mr. Rendon shared their journey from being students at South San ISD to becoming local leaders who connect South San students with national mentors. They related how mentorship changed their lives and helped them find purpose. This inspiration led them to give back to their community by continuing to shape the future through their organization, Building A Purpose. Their mission is to connect students with professionals of their choice
“We believe that it’s better for high school students to be able to change mentors instead of changing majors in college. Ultimately saving thousands of dollars in credit hours, tuition expenses and time.”
