Biography:
Dr. Rendon was raised in San Antonio, TX and received her undergraduate degrees in Nutritional Sciences (B.S.) and Hispanic Studies (B.A.) from the University of Texas at Austin. She continued her education at the University of Texas at Austin-College of Pharmacy and graduated with her Pharm.D. She then completed a one year pharmacy residency program at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa-Westover Hills with research focused on first occurrence extended spectrum beta-lactamase-producing Enterobacteriaceae urinary tract infections. She current serves as a pharmacist in a hospital on the southside of San Antonio where she grew up.
Building community and education are some of her greatest passions. In 2015, she and her husband co-founded the nonprofit called Building A Purpose to serve as a resource for students on their path to fulfill their personal mission and vision in life. She currently serves as the Chief Program Officer of the organization. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her daughter (Autumn), husband, and her Great Danes.
