Biography:

I grew up on the south side of San Antonio, near Kelly AFB, and lived in the same house well into college. My parents divorced when I was about three years old, so I also grew up in the Beacon Hill area of San Antonio until my father and family moved to Bandera, TX. I am the proud sibling of two sisters and three brothers. I am also the proud aunt of three nieces and one nephew.

I have been in education going on 20 years this January. I have taught high school English, been a college advisor and instructor, a high school administrator, and now I am working with a state Education Service Center. I live in Austin, but San Antonio is my real home. I love traveling and have been to Europe, China, Mexico, Central America, and nearly 30 states in the US. However, my favorite place to get away to is the west Texas mountains. I have a passion for working with young people and guiding them as they plan for their futures.
