Biography:

My name is Roberto Garza and my roots grow deep in the South Side of San Antonio, I was raised by two hardworking parents who both dropped out of South San at an early age. As I grew up, I learned that success comes from self-motivation and hard work. I witnessed my parents struggle every day to make ends-met and took notice of those in the economically disadvantaged part of the city. I knew that a smart man learned from his mistakes yet, an even smarter man can learn from the mistakes of others. What I noticed around my side of the city was a mistake that kept repeating itself which was a mistake that people often learned too late in life. This mistake was not pursuing your dreams and turning down the importance of education. My goal is to help the youth of our city become the smarter person.
