The feature reminded us of something important: journalism is a builder too. It shines a light on voices that deserve to be heard, connects communities to resources, and shows what’s possible when mentorship and compassion take center stage.
For us, the article was more than recognition, it was momentum. It showed how far we’ve come, while calling us to keep moving forward. Every mentor match, every scholarship, every student story is another brick in the foundation we’re laying for South San Antonio’s future.
