We are so excited to officially welcome you to the Building A Purpose (BAP) Blog! While this is our very first year of programming kicking off, the work behind the scenes has been in motion for much longer. For over a year, our team has been strategically planning, building partnerships, and designing programs that meet the real needs of students and families in our community. Today, we’re proud to share that those plans are becoming reality.
So, who are we? Building A Purpose (BAP) is a youth-focused nonprofit rooted in the very neighborhoods we grew up in. Our mission is simple but powerful: To focus the interest of students and engineer them a promising future by connecting them with professionals of their choice. Through initiatives like CPCP (College Professional Connection Program), BAPSAT, and community workshops, we connect students with mentors, prepare them for higher education, and give them the tools they need to succeed both in school and in life.
This blog will serve as a place to share updates, celebrate milestones, highlight student achievements, and invite our community to be part of the journey. We believe that when we build together, we build stronger and we are grateful to have you alongside us from the very beginning.
