Biography:

Based on research done by my father, our family on his mother’s side has been traced back to the original families who came from Spain through the Canary islands to settle San Antonio in the 1700s. We are Texans through and through and my great, great uncle started the Stock Yards in San Antonio and his nephew, my great uncle, started the Stock years in Fort Worth. Our family has attended The University of Texas for 3 generations, and all of the traditions at The University were part of my family’s livelihood at the time The University was founded. I have practiced oil and gas law in Texas for almost 40 years, and I am married and have 6 children and 5 grandchildren. I am an Attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, and in the States of Ohio and North Dakota. I am Board Certified in Old, Gas, and Mineral Law in Texas, and licensed to practice law in Federal Courts in the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas and the United States Tax Court.
