Biography:

Born in New York City of Ecuadorean parents. Lived in Guayaquil, Ecuador from ages 8 to 18.
Moved to Boca Raton, Florida in 1991 and studied Microbiology at Florida Atlantic University. Graduated in December 1995. Met husband, Chris, in 1992 at Church youth group in Boca Raton, and began
dating in late 1993. Married in June 1996. Attended Nova Southeastern University School of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Completed doctorate in May 2001. Currently practices Optometry on a
relief only basis. Managing Member and President of TexStar International, a third party logistics company. Most time and efforts are dedicated to raising 2 children: Lauren, 17 years old and Xander, 15. Additionally, cares for two active chocolate labs: Brownie and Daisy. Enjoys fitness classes, reading,
volunteering at local church and at her children’s school.
