After two years, Building A Purpose held their 2022 Gala Oct. 1 at the Henry B. González Convention Center.
The Gala was organized by the Building A Purpose Development Committee, and put together by the board and staff to raise funds for future programming opportunities and to thank their sponsors. The event was free and open to the public.
Throughout the event, attendees came out to support Building A Purpose’s mission and enjoy the cocktail reception, networking with members of the community and the silent auction.
The event featured a performance from community folklorico dancers and photo opportunities. The speakers featured at the event were Esmeralda Macias Frauzto, BAP alumna and South San Antonio High School Valedictorian, Marie Altakali, retired educator and BAP champion and Dr. Adriana Rocha Garcia D4 City Councilwoman and BAP mentor.
The event ended with many attendees donating and participating in the silent auction.
