A Journey from South San Antonio High School to Success
Esmeralda graduated as valedictorian from South San Antonio High School in 2022, a remarkable achievement that speaks to her determination and drive. But Esmeralda’s story didn’t just begin with academic excellence, it’s a story of support, mentorship, and the power of a community coming together to help a student reach her full potential.
During her high school years, Esmeralda chose Ackah as her mentor through Building A Purpose’s College Professional Connection Program (CPCP). This mentorship not only helped guide her through the pressures of high school but also inspired her to aim high and continue to build on her goals. With Ackah’s support, Esmeralda developed valuable skills, gained confidence, and forged a path toward her future in higher education and beyond.
