What a day.
As we reflect on the 2nd Annual Old South San Antonio Parade, one word comes to mind: success.
From the moment the parade began, it was clear that this year’s event was something special. We were blessed with beautiful weather, an incredible turnout, and a community that showed up ready to celebrate the pride, history, and spirit of Old South San Antonio.
Seeing families line the streets, children waving at parade participants, neighbors reconnecting, and local organizations coming together reminded us exactly why this event was created. The parade is more than just a procession, it’s a celebration of our community and the people who make it great.
None of this would have been possible without the support of our volunteers, sponsors, participants, community partners, elected officials, and the countless residents who came out to be part of the day. Your enthusiasm and support continue to make this event grow year after year.
Of course, we are already looking ahead. At Building A Purpose, we are always searching for ways to improve, expand, and make the experience even better for everyone involved. We know next year’s parade will be bigger, stronger, and more organized because that’s what we strive for every year.
But if we’re being honest, it is going to be hard to top what we experienced this year.
The smiles, the energy, the community pride, and the overwhelming support made the 2026 Old South San Antonio Parade one to remember.
