Raul C. Zamora is a proud South San Antonio native, retired educator, and coach who dedicated 33 years to shaping students as a teacher, principal, and mentor. Raised in a hardworking family that valued education, he found opportunity through sports, earning scholarships and even playing briefly for the San Antonio Missions. Beyond the classroom, he served on the Greater San Antonio Crime Commission, worked in community education programs, and spent over a decade supporting local city council efforts. Today, he continues to give back as Deputy Grand Knight at St. Joseph, staying rooted in the community that shaped him. Raul C. Zamora was chosen as Grand Marshal of Building A Purpose because his lifelong dedication to mentoring students, connecting them with opportunities, and guiding them toward successful futures reflects the organization’s mission to inspire and empower the next generation.
