A Seat With Purpose: Carolina Amor Returns to Help Us Build

At Building A Purpose (BAP), we believe that leadership isn’t just about titles, it’s about action, impact, and heart. That’s why we’re beyond proud to announce the newest addition to our Board of Directors: Carolina Elizabeth Amor, a BAP alumna whose journey embodies the very mission we work to uphold.

Carolina’s story with BAP began as a high school student navigating early college, language barriers, and the big dreams of a first-generation student. Through our programming, she found mentorship, opportunity, and the confidence to push forward. Not only did she graduate in the top 20 of her class, but she also went on to earn an Associate of Arts from Palo Alto College, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Texas A&M University-San Antonio, with a minor in Business Administration.

While at Texas A&M-SA, she contributed to Jaguar Student Media, writing for The Mesquite on topics ranging from cultural heritage to international crises. Her storytelling skills, passion for community, and academic excellence set her apart.

In 2022, she returned to BAP as Chief of Staff, bringing structure, strategy, and soul to our internal operations. She helped us grow, plan events, and fundraise, all while serving as a role model for the next generation of youth leaders.

Today, Carolina is back on the BAP team, this time at the top. As a board member, she brings her unique blend of communications expertise, academic discipline, caregiving experience, and deep community insight. Currently on a pre-medical track with aspirations for medical school, Carolina is also pursuing a second associate degree in Biology/Pre-Professional studies at Palo Alto College, all while studying for the MCAT and caring for elderly patients.

She’s proof that success doesn’t always follow a straight line, but it always follows purpose.

Carolina isn’t just building a career in medicine, she’s building a legacy of giving back. We are honored to welcome her voice to our board, where she will help guide strategy, mentor youth, and shape the future of BAP.

Please join us in welcoming Carolina Amor to the BAP Board of Directors!
We can’t wait to see what we build together next.
