As summer began, BAP made the difficult decision to postpone our BAPSAT Program and BAPSum initiatives in their traditional, in-person formats. The health and safety of our students, mentors, and families remained our highest priority, and we knew gathering in large groups was not the responsible choice.
But postponing did not mean pausing our mission. Instead, we carried the momentum forward by continuing workshops and mentorship online. From scholarship resources and college prep tips to career exploration sessions, we found creative ways to keep students engaged during the summer months.
Though the energy of in-person labs and gatherings was missed, the shift to virtual workshops reminded us that purpose is not bound by place. Even when separated by distance, our community showed resilience, flexibility, and a shared commitment to keep learning alive.
Looking ahead, we remain excited to bring back our programs in their full form when it is safe to do so. Until then, we are grateful to everyone who has leaned in with us during this season of change.
